Around the Stud

2015 has been a busy year already! Having sold 10 ponies between January and March to try and get a more manageable number (which we have nearly done!)

Show season is under – way and so far Brinleyview Camanchee was Supreme Champion at the South West Wales Shetland Group show on the 26th April with his son winning the large 2/3 year old class, having been graded for the BSPA the week before. He then made his way down to Debbie Barr who took him to his first BSPA RIHS qualifier on the 10th May at the South Suffolk Show, which he won, he also won the D/E/S RIHS qualifier – that is two RIHS tickets in one day!

Max (Oldforge the Gladiator) has qualified for RIHS in the mountain and moorland working hunter section after winning his class, going champion and then onto British Isles Supreme Champion at the NPS Spring Festival, expertly ridden by Amy Tough.

So far we have 3 foals, 2 standard fillies by Sapphire Classic (HOYS Winner) and one miniature colt by Buxted Blue Shadow.

Our stallions will be at stud this year. The standard stallions will depend on their ridden commitments but we do intend for all of them to have at least a month with their mares to ensure we have some of their stock for sale.

We cannot believe it has been so long since loosing Vandal at the age 32 on the 27th of March 2010. There is not a day that goes by when we don’t think about him.
